About this tool
Compress Image shrinks large photos to at most 2000 pixels on the longest side and saves them as JPG at balanced quality. Most photos get much smaller with little visible change.
Questions
Which formats work?
You can pick JPG, PNG or WebP. The result is always a JPG.
Does quality drop?
Slightly. Photos stay sharp on screens, but this is not lossless.
What happens to transparent PNGs?
Transparent areas turn white, because JPG has no transparency.
